International leadership convention

International Leadership Convention: Movement as a Driver of Leadership

For an international mobility player, WMH Project designed a two-day leadership convention bringing together over 300 managers from several countries. Built around an impactful signature, the experience combines a kinetic plenary, rotating collaborative workshops and an immersive evening to anchor a shared managerial culture.

Why make movement the thread of a leadership convention?

When an international mobility group wants to rally its managers around a long-term vision, movement becomes an obvious metaphor: to move mobility forward, you must stay in motion yourself. WMH Project translated this conviction into a unifying signature positioning every manager as a "leader in motion" — an agent of change, a meaning catalyst and a trust relay. The approach plays out in form, with a kinetic visual identity that unfolds and transforms, and in substance, through a collective, emulative and learning adventure.

How do you stage a plenary that embodies movement?

The opening plays on physical movement across the stage, supported by a large panoramic screen linked to side totems via animated LED bars. Key moments ditch the lectern: leaders walk on, pass the baton from one point of the stage to another, embodying collective momentum. A projected digital wheel selects the company's culture pillars, introduced through storytelling (origin, success, outlook) and illustrated by field videos shot in different countries. The mobile app fuels interaction: live polls, real-time word clouds, votes for the next topic.

What workshop formats mobilise collective intelligence?

Day two splits managers into three rotating groups across three spaces. A 60-minute hackathon, in an innovation-lab spirit, gathers cross-functional teams around concrete challenges: ecological transition, inclusion, digitalisation, user experience, multimodality. Each team pitches its solution to a jury, with a digital compendium shared afterwards. A second workshop, inspired by the "Hero's Journey", invites managers to co-write transformation narratives in eight stages to give meaning to change. Inspiring talks from international speakers complete the journey.

How does an immersive evening strengthen cohesion?

The evening shifts into an offbeat space universe: a fog-covered boarding zone, retro arcade machines and pinball, a zero-gravity photo booth, a circular dance floor with a pop wink, a DJ set and a collaborative playlist. This playful breather extends the movement metaphor while unlocking conviviality among peers from several continents.

What logistics support an international residential event?

Check-in is digitalised via touch tablets for real-time registration, supported by a host team scaled by sequence. The participant journey relies on a paced registration mechanism (save-the-date, invitation, logistics reminders, satisfaction survey) and a bilingual FR/EN platform in the event's colours. An interactive web-app synchronises the agenda, practical information and engagement modules (polls, quizzes, selfie wall). Two premium residential venues near Paris were studied to host the entire group.
