Corporate Sports Field Day: Play, Team Spirit and CSR

A large-scale corporate sports day for 800 employees of a French fashion house, built around sporting culture, sustainability commitments and collective competition. WMH Project designed a full playing field: challenges, a digital check-in platform, responsible catering and a spectacular grand finale.

How do you root a corporate sports day in a real tournament culture?

The target audience is mostly field staff who rarely encounter the brand's communications. The challenge: bring a luxury textile player's universe to life differently, through play and collective energy. WMH Project built the day around three pillars woven throughout: sporting culture (tournament narrative and codes — central court, club house, fan zone), sustainability played through light touches, and competition-entertainment paced by highlights.

Why engage teams before the day itself?

Each team completes a first step before the event: personalising a shared bandana (a word, a colour, a sign) and creating a « team call » — a short chant and shared gesture. On the day, this chant is measured live and becomes the very first point scored: the game begins before it begins.

How do you weave in CSR without the « mandatory booth » effect?

Sustainability becomes a gamification lever, accessible even to supporters who can earn points for their team. Three axes: « play with people » (transmission, mentoring, testimonials), « play with materials » (tactile workshops on fabrics and eco-design, true/false duels) and « play with impact » (reconstructing a product's journey, a physical positioning game on value-chain choices). Bonus points are won all day long.

Which challenges pace the competition?

60 to 70 teams of 10 to 12 people compete across 8 activities, in 30-minute rotations, low-tech yet premium. The line-up: tennis, precision padel, baskinton, blindfolded golf raising disability-sport awareness, a history timeline, a senses bar (smell/taste), an obstacle course and giant lacing. A Wild Card grants a finals spot through bonuses. Scoring is entered live on tablets and shown on a live leaderboard.

How do you streamline check-in for 800 people?

A digital relay platform generates an individual QR-code pass (team, meeting point, schedule, practical info, CSR reminders) and automates communication at D-7, D-3 and D-1. On-site arrival is organised in three lanes (team captains, individual participants, supporters), with captains becoming field relays to hand out kits. Result: short queues, zero unnecessary paper, recycled-material kits.

How does the day end?

A collective grand finale brings the top 4 teams together on a spectacular XXL challenge in front of the main stage, followed by trophy and medal ceremonies and a DJ showcase. Responsible catering (per-team boxes, local produce, recyclable containers, leftover donations, sorting run by a sheltered-employment workshop) and a wellness area with seated massages round out the experience.
